The
CA Dept. of Public Health employs a fair number of Spanish-speaking
employees to interact with their client base. The agency just directed
ALL of it's employees to be processed thru E-Verify +, the system
maintained by the feds to verify the right to work of people who might
not be U S citizens (or for that matter people who maybe are I guess).
I
guess they are hoping to not have ICE jumping their people as they
interact with ag workers and others who need public health services but
maybe are not here legally.
Actually that is probably a smart move on their part. They don't need Trump screaming that Gavin Newsom is employing illegals.
