SOME LEGISLATIVE SENSE IN CALIFORNIA, WHICH WILL PROBABLY GO NOWHERE

by Bob Walsh

AB2067 has just been introduced in the CA legislature by James Gallagher, R-Yuba City. The R behind his name is probably enough to ensure the bill will die as the Democrap-Socialists in CA have a near-super majority in both houses of the legislature.

The bill, if passed in its current form, would require an actual law enforcement officer be placed in every school campus in the formerly great state of California, at state expense. A proposal that would have allowed the use of private security officers was eliminated.

Both the ACLU and the Calif. Teachers Association oppose the bill. The ACLU says the presence of police will make the rugrats feel that they are in prison. I guess it is better to be dead than to feel secure. The ACLU has said the presence of guns on campuses in the hands of trained police offices actually makes the students less safe, not more safe.

The CTA probably wants the money to go to the teachers union rather than keep their membership safe, but they are well known to be a bunch of greedy bastards.
