TRY TO AVOID KILLING YOUR CUSTOMERS

by Bob Walsh

The Hot Wells Shooting Range has been operating near Cypress, TX for 44 years. They had a very serious WHOOPS a couple of days back.

An employee was cleaning a "high-powered rifle" when somehow a live round was introduced into the firing chamber. The rifle was discharged and the bullet went thru a wall and killed a customer. That is probably a bad thing.

The 20-year old employee clearly violated at least a couple of very basic rules. You don't clean a weapon unless you are 100% sure it is empty and you remove all live ammunition from the immediate area, just in case. Clearly he screwed the pooch. I hope they have good insurance.
