CalFIRE officials announced today that the massive Complex fire burning near Clear Lake, now at 300,000 acres, is not expected to be fully controlled (let alone put out) until early next month at the soonest.
If you are interested in a lakeside vacation home and don't mind a long lead time now might be a good time to shop for real estate in the area.

I really liked the Clear Lake area. Drove through there many times. When staying at Santa Rosa. Too bad.
I grew up a little south of there. My oldest buddy lives on 50 acres on the other side of the lake from the fire. It's a beautiful area.
