It
seems there are three lawsuits going forward against the CA SecState
regarding the Newsom Recall Election due to take place in about seven
weeks. The field is supposed to be finalized today (Wednesday).
The
primary lawsuit OMHO is by Larry Elder. The SecState is refusing to
certify him as a candidate on the basis of the five years of back income
tax date he supplied was "improperly redacted." Elder has responded
that it is HER job and not his to correct any errors and furthermore the
tax records thing is a requirement of a PRIMARY election. He asserts,
with some justification, that a recall election is NOT a primary
election.
It will be interesting to see how things work out as the deadline is fast approaching to take care of this sort of stuff.
