After
theri equipment interacting with a fallen tree has started yet another
MASSIVE wildfire in NorCal PG&E announced on Wednesday that they are
going to bury thousands of miles of their lines, beginning in high risk
areas. They have already buried lines near Paradise, CA. which was for
all practical purposes destroyed by a wild fire recently.
This
will cost a buttload of money but will be better for them in the long
run than paying a buttload of money out for killing people and
destroying property.
Of
course it would be nice if CA had a decent forest management plan. Lack
of one definitely contributes substantially to these w9ild fires. That
however is an issue for a different day.
