Kryst won the MISS USA contest in 2019. She was the oldest contestant
to ever win that accolade. Sunday, at the age of 30, she did a
double-gainer with a twist from her Manhattan high-rise, ending with a
sudden stop at street level 29 floors below.
Her family actually said, among other things, "her impact will live on." Really.
She left a note so they are pretty sure she jumped and didn't have any help.
Her mother had also been a beauty pageant star, peaking as Mrs. North Carolina in 2002.
Ms.
Kryst was a practicing attorney in the civil arena. She got HER law
degree from Wake Forest as well as an MBA so she certainly wasn't a
dummy. Clearly she had some coping issues. Damn shame.

Sad news. Fame is fleeting. Degrees should be supported with an enthusiastic work ethic. Beauty fades. None of them will guarantee Happiness. Happiness is taught and Happiness is learned. Little things bring joy. Such as, a friendly gesture, family or a pet or hobby. It could be as simple as a fishing pole and a few cold beers.
