COLLEYVILLE, TEXAS: A middle school teacher has resigned after she was
caught on a hidden camera saying conservative Christians need to “get
COVID and die”. Parents have identified the teacher as Lisa Grimes, who
used to teach at Colleyville Middle School.
In the video obtained
and shared on YouTube by conservative radio host Dana Loesch, Grimes
was heard telling two other women: “We have a political system that will
not allow us to [inaudible] so we’re vaccinating like the flu … which is, you know … get the flu vaccine
if you want but you can’t — don’t ‘tread on me.’ [crosstalk] But it’s
too late. It would have had to have been immediate. If we would have
done it immediately, it’d already be gone.”
She then added: “That’s what’s frustrating. The rest of my life is
impacted because of politics? Because of conservative Christian crap?
[crosstalk] I’m telling you, those conservative Christians … they need to die … they need to get covid and die.”
The
video has attracted a lot of attention online with a user commenting
below, “Where are their masks? Why are they standing so close to one
another? They don’t believe in the mandates themselves. Get your kids
out of their schools, Christian parents. Do whatever you have to do to
rescue your kids from these goons.” The second user wrote, “Soo
conveniently chimed in with ‘faux boyfriend talk’ after nervously
looking around if anyone is watching you .. LOL … yeah about 150 million
Christian Conservative Americans just saw you… LOL.”
A comment
read, “Wow. What a wicked thing to wish on more than half the country.
She has no business teaching children. She needs to find a different job
working with her own kind - snakes.” Another remark stated, “I
appreciate when our enemies reveal themselves openly. Plus you would
assume that the people who are "teachers" would be more schooled on
these poisonous shots the government has been pushing on the population
for 50 years.” “There is most certainly a problem with our education
system... and it's not the students. How many more of these videos need
to come to light before we seriously start discussing a complete
overhaul of the teaching system?” a critic’s comment added.
After
the controversy, the Grapevine-Colleyville school district sent a
school-wide email that said, “This afternoon, GCISD learned about an
online video of a Colleyville Middle School teacher talking to two
colleagues in a high-traffic area on campus. The sentiments expressed in
the video do not reflect the views of GCISD or Colleyville Middle
School. The teacher has been placed on administrative leave. The
District will continue to investigate this incident.”
Later,
another statement said that the teacher in question has resigned. It
noted: “The Colleyville Middle School teacher whose words were captured
in a widely circulated online video has resigned and will not be
returning to the classroom. GCISD is working to ensure that her students
experience as little disruption in their learning as possible. The
views expressed in that video do not reflect the opinions or the
professionalism of Colleyville Middle School and other GCISD employees.
It is inexcusable to wish harm on those with whom we disagree,” before
adding: “Colleyville Middle School is a high-achieving school with
outstanding teachers and staff who are dedicated to students’ success
and well-being. This incident should not overshadow the many heights
that Colleyville Middle School students reach every day or the tireless
work of teachers at Colleyville Middle School and across GCISD.”

What is wrong with people?
Hate and stupidity are a dangerous combination. They warp your brain, what little you have of one.
