Whoopi Goldberg is the New Normal
Out of dangerous ignorance, Whoopi and those like her are ushering in a new era of “moral” antisemitism that would make the Nazis proud

Whoopi Goldberg's ignorant views on the Holocaust are sadly, and dangerously, widespread in Western progressive culture
Whoopi Goldberg’s two-week suspension from ABC won’t change a thing. That is because ABC, and Goldberg’s critics, have already accepted the new narrative that has banalized the Holocaust by turning this singular horrific event into one “holocaust” among many.
Consider this exchange between Goldberg and another panelist on The View, Ana Navarro. Goldberg says, “the Holocaust isn’t about race, no, it’s not about race … it’s about man’s inhumanity to man, that’s what it’s about.”
But, says Navarro, “the Holocaust is about going after Jews and Gypsies… about white supremacy.”
“But these are two white groups of people,” responded Goldberg, who persisted with her argument that the Holocaust wasn’t about racism but about “how people treat each other.”
Goldberg and Navarro, both in their own way, are echoing the racist “critical race theories,” which among other things count the Jews among the privileged racists and colonialist whites. Never mind the fact that the Holocaust was driven by a racist ideology that reduced the Jews to the status of parasitic vermin destined for extermination.
The International Holocaust Memorial Day, tucked in-between the International Day of Education and the World Wetlands Day, “commemorates the victims of the Holocaust, which resulted in the murder of one-third of the Jewish people, along with countless members of other minorities between 1933 and 1945 by Nazi Germany.” According to this narrative, the victims of the Holocaust include invalids, homosexuals, Gypsies, Christians, etc. – all of whom were killed by the Nazis from the time Hitler rose to power until the end WWII.
The Holocaust that Whoopi Goldberg is ignorant about. Bodies at the Gusen Concentration Camp
But this is not how Israel remembers the Holocaust. The Israeli Holocaust Memorial Day commemorates the “six million Jews murdered in the Holocaust by Nazi Germany and its collaborators, and for the Jewish resistance in that period.” As it should have, the world too saw the Holocaust as uniquely Jewish, until Hana Arendt trivialized it by asserting that in every human being lurks a potential Nazi. In this way everything having to do with the Holocaust was emptied from any meaning, so that now a “Nazi” can be a Jew who lives in Hebron, and a “Jew” can be a Muslim prisoner locked up in the Guantanamo Bay “concentration camp.” Same goes for the label of “racist,” now thrown at anyone without a second thought.
Whoopi Goldberg – as well as many of her critics – has accepted this new normal. This explains why she can say that the Holocaust isn’t about race, and at the same time categorize Jews as a group of white people. In so doing she’s saying that even though they might’ve been victims, Jews can also still be accused of white supremacy, not least of which for presenting the Holocaust as a uniquely Jewish tragedy. The new normal regards as an unforgivable sin even the hint of Jewish uniqueness. Claiming uniqueness violates the progressive holy value of equity.
Whiteness and equity have become so pervasive, particularly in North America and the UN, that it affects even the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), which has changed its definition of racism three times in recent years. The ADL’s old definition said that racism is “the belief that a particular race is superior or inferior to another, that a person’s social and moral traits are predetermined by his or her inborn biological characteristics.” Then it was changed to the “Woke” understanding of racism, which is that “the marginalization and/or oppression of people of color based on a socially constructed racial hierarchy that privileges white people.”
And if the ADL is adopting the new normal, why criticize Whoopi for doing the same? Indeed, it was only in the wake of the Whoopi scandal that the ADL’s CEO, Jonathan Greenblatt, decided to change the organization’s definition of racism once again. It now states that “racism occurs when individuals or institutions show more favorable evaluation or treatment of an individual or group based on race or ethnicity.” However, the ADL’s list of activities shows that this organization too has lined itself up with the critical race theories that include the anti-white agenda, which, as Goldberg rightly noted, now includes Jews as well.
The ADL is not an isolated case. A 2020 exhibition at the Florida Holocaust Museum titled Uprooting Prejudice: Faces of Change included the killing of George Floyd. Floyd’s tragic ending can be connected to the Holocaust if the American police officers involved are compared to Nazis who are methodically going from house-to-house looking for blacks to be exterminated. It is also possible to compare Floyd to the Holocaust victims by turning the memory of the Holocaust into a cliché. One poster from this exhibition read, “this is an opportunity for us to show each other how much we care about each other.”
And why go after Whoopi while at the same time giving a free pass to Hebrew University teacher Daniel Blatman, who specializes in the history of the Holocaust and has repeatedly compared Israel to Nazi Germany in its perpetration of a “holocaust” against the Palestinians? And why Whoopi if Israeli tour guides at Yad Vashem are telling their audience that what happened in Germany could happen here in Israel (meaning it’s already happening)?
The obvious danger with such hideous comparisons, supposedly based on a morally-superior new normal, is that Israel and the Jews are criminalized to the point of being deserving of a death sentence. Doing a “Whoopi” to the Holocaust allows people to think they are being virtuous when chanting “Palestine will be free from the river to the sea.” And doing a “Whoopi” to the Holocaust helps legitimize people like Jewish Neo-Marxist Alan Milchman (AKA Mac Intosh), who in attempting to erase any notion of uniqueness to the Jewish Holocaust reached the conclusion that Jews were exterminated because they disrupted the German capitalist machine. Hence, they had to be exterminated, fittingly by an industrial mechanism. In all, therefore, whether Jews or not, those who are doing a “Whoopi” to the Holocaust are turning antisemitism into a virtue.
In a sane world its this new “moral” antisemitism that would be rightly compared to Nazism.
But as it stands, the Whoopis of today are living in a world much like that featured in the movie Idiocracy. They are absolutely convinced that irrigating the fields with Gatorade will make plants grow strong. That’s how ignorant and dangerous is Whoopi’s new normal.

I truly do not believe that she is an antisemite. I think she has some issues with the concept of racial prejudice because, as a Black person in America she sees it as a Black vs. White issue and to her White people are sort of generic-homogonized. That does not mean she is an antisemite.
