Fyock was the director of both the Sacramento County Fair and the
Tulare county fair. This is sort of an odd arrangement as most of the
county fairs have their own boards of directors but technically work for
the State Dept. of Agriculture.
The
state has just completed two audits of Ms. Fyock and handed her her
hat. She was apparently / allegedly double or even triple submitting
for expenses and then destroyed many of the expense records in violation
of specific state law concerning records retention.
The
Sacramento board met in emergency session last week and voted to put
Fyock on a 120-day "professional improvement plan" but the Dept. of
Agriculture said FUCK THAT and sacked her ass.
In 2018 the Sacramento County Fair generated a tad over $800k in revenue. More recent records are not available.
Ms.
Fyock paid herself a total of $242,2230 in expense money over five
years. Of that, $107,230 have zero paperwork to support the payments.
Fyock is also alleged to have handed out sweetheart contracts, much of the payment for which ended up in her pocket.
