Netanyahu Makes One Big Promise to Visiting Congressmen
Confident of winning the upcoming election, Bibi tells American lawmakers that some important changes are coming, soon.
Netanyahu says that once he's back in the prime minister's chair, there will be big changes to Israel's position vis-a-vis Iran.
Former Prime Minister of Israel and leader of the opposition in the Knesset Benjamin Netanyahu met on Monday with a bi-partisan delegation of American Senators and Congressmen currently visiting Israel. Netanyahu also charged that Israel’s current Prime Minister Yair Lapid prevented the Head of the Mossad – Israel’s international intelligence agency – from meeting with senior American politicians on the matter of the continuing threat posed by a nuclear-powered Iran.
Mossad Director David Barnea left on Monday for Washington, DC, where he will hold a series of meetings with senior officials from the White House, CIA, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Pentagon, State Department and additional security agencies. He will consult with the American officials on what Israel feels is a bad new nuclear deal being reached between the international community and the government of Iran.
In a Tweet on Monday, Netanyahu stated that he, “read that (Prime Minister) Lapid prevented the head of the Mossad from appearing before the Senate Intelligence Committee to stop the dangerous nuclear deal with Iran.”
Netanyahu went on to say that this is not “the way to stop Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons (to be used) against us. To stop Iran, we must act with all our might – in the Congress, the Senate and the American media.”
Netanyahu declared, “On November 1 (the date of the upcoming Israeli elections), Israel will switch from defense to attack.” Pictured: Israeli jets destroy Iranian targets
Netanyahu’s comments came just a week after he and Lapid traded barbs over the whole issue of what exactly Israel’s leadership is doing to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons. Lapid then “invited” Netanyahu to a one-on-one briefing with the Prime Minister on what the government knows and is doing regarding Iran. This was seen by some political observers as a political “gimmick” to show the public that Lapid – not Netanyahu – has all of the facts on the matter.
The leaders of the current government including Laid, Defense Minister Benny Gantz, and the former Prime Minister – now alternate-premiere – Naftali Bennett, have been making a public case against a new Iranian nuclear deal since assuming office in June 2021. While no new deal has yet been reached, and no facts about the current deal being negotiated have been revealed as of yet, Israel’s leaders have been acting in such a way that suggests a deal that would not prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons is imminent.
Netanyahu also tweeted about his meeting on Monday with American Republican Senator from South Carolina Lindsey Graham and Democratic Senator from New Jersey Bob Menendez, who chairs the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
“I promised them that after I was elected Prime Minister of Israel,” Netanyahu said, “I would act as I have done – in Congress, in the Senate, in all the American media and in every way – to ensure that Iran never has a nuclear weapon.”
And to the Israeli public on the Iranian nuclear threat– with the expectation of returning to power – Netanyahu declared, “On November 1 (the date of the upcoming Israeli elections), Israel will switch from defense to attack.”

I suspect those important changes have something to do with aircraft and ordnance.
Boom!
