That is one thing you have to say for the formerly great state of California. They are very good at naming (misnaming) laws.

Newsom, the God-Emperor of California, has just signed the "Safe and
Prepared Schools Act" into law. It regulates drills for active shooter
scenarios. Police agencies who participate in these drills are totally
prohibited from using anything that makes noise similar to actual
gunshots and are absolutely forbidden to use fake blood in setting up
victim-actors for their parts.
On
the positive side it doesn't say that they can't use REAL live
ammunition or REAL blood. That, though, probably isn't going to
happen.
