Maria Chappelle-Nadal is, at least for the nonce, a member of the legislature of the great state of Missouri. In a back-and-forth over non-public Facebook page she wished that President Trump would be assassinated. Pretty much every major politician in the state is calling for her resignation, even those in her own Democrat party. She is, so far, declining to do so.
In an interview with the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Ms. Chapelle-Nadal allowed as how what she said was "wrong" and has since said she didn't really mean it. She stated her thoughts were due to frustration over President Trumps comments over the hoorah in Charlottesville. She also worked in a comment about the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, which is in her constituency.
She also said she would apologize when Trump apologized. It is unknown whether or not the Secret Service has had a word with her lately.
