GPS LED TO CHICKENSHIT ARREST THAT COST TEXAS MAN AROUND $11,000

Canadian border guards arrested a man who accidentally crossed the border because he had a pistol in his motorhome

I have a close friend who had a terrible experience some time ago because his GPS led him into Canada when he had no intention of entering that country.

When Dave and his wife left Buffalo in their motorhome, he programmed his GPS for the return trip to his home near Houston. They were driving west on a road as directed by his GPS when suddenly they found themselves at a Canadian border post. He told the Canadian border guards that he accidentally crossed the border and had no intention to enter Canada. However, they ignored his plea to just let them turn around so he could return to the U.S.

The border guards asked him if he had any firearms in his motorhome. Dave volunteered that he had a pistol inside the motorhome, a pistol he was licensed to carry by the state of Texas. The guards entered the motorhome and upon finding the pistol, placed Dave under arrest for smuggling a firearm into Canada. His pistol was confiscated and the motorhome was impounded. He was carted off to a Canadian jail.

Fortunately for Dave, his wife was there to do everything that had to be done to get him out of jail and back home. To make a long story short, it cost my friend around $11,000 counting the cost of an attorney, bail money, the impound fees for his motorhome and the cost of an expensive pistol that was not returned to him.

Thanks to that fucking GPS, Dave spent several days in jail. Although the charges were eventually dropped, this fine upstanding American citizen now has an arrest record.

As for those Canadian border guards, what a bunch of sorry assholes. That was a chickenshit arrest if there ever was one. They must have had a slow day. Any decent cop would have let Dave turn around and be on his way back home.

The moral of this story is, never trust that damn woman inside your GPS.
