President Joe Biden held an intense, nearly eight-minute long conversation with Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib on the tarmac when he arrived in Dearborn, Mich., on Tuesday.

Tlaib has been critical of Biden's handling of the conflict between Israel and Hamas in the Middle East. On Twitter, she blasted Biden's support of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying he 'commits war crimes and openly violates international law.'

Biden has called for a cease fire in the region as the battle between Israel and Hamas enters day nine.

The president is in Dearborn to visit a Ford factory and tout his infrastructure plan, which includes billions in funding for electric cars. But his administration has been dealing with the conflict in the Middle East, which has caused over 200 deaths and a humanitarian crisis in the region.

Biden shook the hand of Tlaib, the only Palestinian member of Congress who has family in the region, and the two engaged in a long conversation - out of earshot of cameras and with staff looking on. At one point Biden put his face mask on as he prepared to get into the presidential motorcade and then continued to speak to Tlaib.

During his remarks later in the day at the Ford factory, Biden praised the congresswoman. 'I admire your intellect, I admire your passion, I admire your compassion,' Biden said, praising her as a fighter. 'I pray that your grandmom and family are well,' he noted.

By the same methodology Adolph Hitler and Heinrich Himmler were praiseworthy individuals. There is something warped about that.

Once again you equate any criticism of Israel to be anti Semitic. When people keep repeating that stupidity, the phrase “anti semite “ fails to have any meaning.
I’m Jewish, love all of humanity as commanded by the Torah. I just don’t think we need to have a state to be Jews. You consider me a self hating Jew despite 90 percent of my m ducal practice involves pro Bono treatment for Jewish families and others in need. The litmus test on this blog is not how you treat people, it’s whether you blindly support the Zionist state. That view is fading fast. Jews for justice in Palestine is exploding in membership. Hillel is dying on college campuses and avoided by Jewish students like the plaugue. Are we all just idiots, or perhaps as 90 plus year old man senility and dementia are setting in. As a licensed physician, I’d be happy to do a free assessment for my fellow member of the tribe.

Barry Goldberg ... Jewish? I never would have guessed it!

A free assessment? I wouldn't let you touch my dog!

I'm not going to argue with you except to say that Rashida Tlaib has a long history of making antiSemitic statements and that you should be ashamed of yourself for not supporting the only country that welcomes Jews who are victims of anti-Semitism throughout the world.

I spent three years living under Hitler's Nazi regime and that makes the survival of a Jewish state extremely important to me.

I won't dignify what you said about me ... you can shove it up where the sun don't shine!
