A
Bay Area man agreed to meet a potential buyer in a public place in
order to sell that buyer three golden retriever puppies he had. The
buyer instead pulled a gat, demanded the man's Chevy Avalanche, and sped
away. He wasn't much of a driver and managed to roll the Avalanche
onto it's roof. He then fled on foot, unsuccessfully.
The
bad guy is now in the Alameda County Jail facing charges of armed
carjacking (which even CA still frowns on at least a little), felony
vehiclular evasion (which can be a felony but is rarely prosecuted as
such), animal endangerment (which can be a big deal), and various
weapons and drug charges.
The dogs were uninjured.
Personally I hope they hang the sonofabitch on general principles.
