I ADMIT I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THIS WAS GOING ON

by Bob Walsh

Shasta County is one of the more conservative regions in the formerly great state of California, located up in the boonies around Mt. Shasta.  The locals have just got together to recall a Republican member of the County Board of Supervisors due to the voters believing that the incumbent, Leonard Moty, a retired police chief, was being too easy going about the state mask mandates among other things.  There are still slightly over 100 votes to count and the count will not be official until next month but it looks very much like one of two candidates supported by a local militia group will get the brass ring.  The election actually occurred on Tuesday.

Interesting stuff. Here in Northern Arizona, and elsewhere in our state, maybe 60% of us still refuse to wear masks. About the same number of us (probably a few less) haven't received the vaccine. You'd think we'd all be dead by now. (We aren't),
