IF THE UN HAD ITS WAY, THE STATE OF ISRAEL WOULD NOT EXIST

Congress Tells Biden Admin to Fight ‘Outrageous’ UN Obsession With Israel

Bi-partisan letter signed by 42 House representatives slams new open-ended UN probe into all alleged Israeli “war crimes”

A majority of 125 countries at the UN General Assembly supported an unprecedented and unlimited war crimes investigation against Israel

The United Nations has again run afoul of the US Congress over its hostile obsession with Israel, and American lawmakers are demanding that the Biden Administration do something about it.

In late December, the UN approved the formation of an open-ended commission of inquiry into any and all alleged Israeli “crimes.” It has never taken such an approach with any other nation, ever.

Israel’s Ambassador to the UN, Gilad Erdan, labeled the decision as “despicable and biased.”

At least 42 members of the US House of Representatives agree.

In a letter to Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, the congressmen worried that the new UN commission “is designed to accelerate the political, economic, and legal challenges to Israel and undermine its legitimacy by pressuring international legal institutions to take action against Israeli leaders.”

The Americans were further incensed that while the resolution establishing this unprecedented open-ended war-crimes probe takes into account everything of which Israel stands accused, it makes no mention of the heinous abuses of terror groups like Hamas, nor of Israel’s legitimate right to defend itself.

“This reflects the UN’s continued broader bias against Israel,” they wrote, calling the commission “outrageous” and demanding that it be cancelled.

The letter was signed by both Republicans and Democrats.

State Department Deputy Spokeswoman Jalina Porter later told reporters that the Biden Administration is “concerned with the…commission, noting its egregious bias [against] Israel and the problematic nature of the open-ended duration of the mandate.”

Porter added that the Biden White House would not cooperate with the new UN commission, and was urging all allies to likewise boycott this anti-Israel effort.

Strictly speaking the modern state of Israel owes it's existence to the Balfour Declaration made by the League of Nations, the decisions of which were folded into the United Nations when it was created. That being said about 95% of the membership of the U.N., maybe more, would be very happy if the state of Israel just dried up and blew away along with its inhabitants.
