Democrat and 2020 presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard slammed President Joe Biden in a tweet after he promised to nominate a Black woman to the Supreme Court. The 40-year-old accused Biden of indulging in "identity politics" and mentioned that he did the same thing when he chose Vice President Kamala Harris as his running mate.

Biden picked her for her color and she's been a disaster

"Biden chose Harris as his VP because of the color of her skin and sex — not qualification. She's been a disaster. Now he promises to choose Supreme Court nominee on the same criteria. Identity politics is destroying our country," Gabbard's tweet read.

Last week, Liberal Justice Stephen Breyer announced that he is going to step down after nearly three decades on the Supreme Court. Biden is now considering a list of potential candidates to replace him and has promised to nominate a Black woman for the role. Post this, Gabbard slammed him in her tweet and accused him of not caring about the "qualification" of the nominee, and instead focusing on "the skin color and the gender" of the candidate.

"There was no such complaint from the voices on the right who are speaking out now, but there's no question in his mind that there is a wealth of qualified, talented Black women to choose from," White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said in a press briefing.

GOP Senator Susan Collins told ABC News, "I would welcome the appointment of a Black female to the court. I believe that diversity benefits the Supreme Court. But the way that the president has handled this nomination has been clumsy at best. It adds to the further perception that the court is a political institution like Congress when it is not supposed to be."

As per reports, Biden would be meeting with Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Dick Durbin and ranking member Senator Chuck Grassley at the White House to get their advice on a potential pick. Some of his top candidates include: DC Circuit Court Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, who Biden elevated to her post last year; district Judge J Michelle Childs, a federal official in South Carolina who has strong bipartisan support from GOP Senator Lindsey Graham and Democrat Rep Jim Clyburn, both of whom hail from her state and Judge Leondra Kruger, an associate justice on California's Supreme Court who twice turned down the position of Solicitor General, reports Daily Mail.

Gabbard has previously spoken against Biden and Harris multiple times. "@JoeBiden @KamalaHarris, the humanitarian and national security crisis on the southern border is the direct result of your open-border policy. As I said in my 2020 presidential campaign, we can’t have a secure nation if we don't secure our borders," she wrote in an Instagram post. Another read, "The Biden/Harris open-door policy has been a disaster. It needs to end now. The main beneficiaries of open borders are the gangs, cartels, and human traffickers. The Trump policy of having people wait on the other side of the border worked and needs to be reinstated."

No reason why she should get cancelled. Joe the Hairsniffer announced up front that his primary criteria would be that his running mate be a "woman of color." of course lack of reason means nothing to the cancellation Nazis.
