'You're finished': Mike Rogers' stern warning to Republican rebel Matt Gaetz when he furiously lunged at him as Congress descended into chaos and after 15 votes Kevin McCarthy was FINALLY elected Speaker

Mike Rogers(middle) told Matt Gaetz (left) he is 'finished' as the Republican rivals clashed on a night of chaos in Congress which ended with Kevin McCarthy (right) being elected House Speaker after a 15th ballot. 

Rogers, one of McCarthy's top backers, had to be restrained by Rep. Richard Hudson, after confronting Gaetz on Friday night. He then told Gaetz he would be 'finished' for continuing to wreck the speaker's vote and that 'I won't forget this.' 

Gaetz did not seem worried by the encounter and was afterwards seen flexing his biceps. 

McCarthy's opening speech sparked uproar when he was finally sworn in as Speaker of the House following four days of chaos and the near-punch up.

'That was easy, huh?' McCarthy said. He looked over at Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries, whose party was united behind him throughout the race for speaker. 'Hakeem, I gotta warn ya, two years ago I got 100 percent of the vote from my conference,' McCarthy continued in a bid to act as peacemaker.
