The sheriff’s deputy who was attacked by a cow died from his injuries on Monday at a hospital in Tyler, Texas.
If you recall, on March 24, Deputy Robert Britton responded to a call of a cow having been hit by a motor vehicle. The cow charged at him while he was directing traffic at the scene. He was flipped up in the air and landed on his head. The cow continued to attack the deputy while he laid motionless on the ground. He was taken to a Tyler hospital where he remained in critical condition until he passed away.
Our thoughts are with the grief stricken family of Robert Britton.
