You can’t say this broad hasn’t fully assimilated into French culture. Her only qualification for justice minister appears to have been that President Sarcozy thought she was one helluva lay! Is there anyone of note this member of the European Parliament hasn’t screwed?
TWO OF FRANCE’S MOST NOTORIOUS CRIMINALS CLAIM THEY FATHERED GLAMOURS MEP RACHIDA DATI’S LOVE CHILD…IN A PRISON CELL

When one of France’s most high-profile single mothers had her first baby, dozens of rich and powerful men were put forward as possible fathers – including President Nicolas Sarkozy himself.
However, two murderers have now claimed that they – or at least one of them – fathered the daughter of 45-year-old Rachida Dati after a wild sex session in a locked prison room.
Former justice minister Miss Dati – the first Arab woman to hold high office – gave birth to Zohra in January 2009.
In one of the most bizarre cases in recent Gallic judicial history, Alfredo Stranieri, 54, and Germain Gaiffe, 43, now face charges of ‘causing outrage to a public servant’ after Miss Dati decided to launch a prosecution against them.
If found guilty, the two convicts face six-month increases to their sentences.
Fines of up to £10,000 could also be imposed, although it is unlikely that the men will be able to pay them.
Since Zohra’s birth, candidates who have joined Mr Sarkozy as possible fathers include former Spanish prime minister Jose Maria Aznar, actress Salma Hayek’s husband Francois-Henri Pinault, former French sports minister Bernard Laporte, super-rich businessman Henri Proglio, and a French TV host known as Arthur.
Mr Sarkozy had a fling with Miss Dati shortly before Carla Bruni became his third wife in 2008.
There have also been claims that Miss Dati used an anonymous sperm donor to become pregnant following a trip to Scandinavia.
All she has ever said on the subject is that her lover was a prominent figure who travels a great deal.
In September 2010 the two prisoners threw their hats in to the ring by claiming they had sexual relations with Miss Dati in Poissy prison, in the suburbs of Paris.
Stranieri, who is serving life for killing four people and then burying their bodies in his garden, wrote a letter to the town hall of Paris’s 16th arrondissement (district) saying he was Zohra’s father.
Gaiffe, who is serving 30 years for cutting a man’s head off, sent an identical letter, with both saying they had slept with Dati when she visited the prison while justice minister.
Miss Dati, who remains single, vehemently denies the claims, saying they are the ramblings of a pair of publicity-seeking convicted criminals.
Yesterday, both appeared before the sixth correctional court in Versailles, west of Paris, where they denied the charge against them. They maintained they were the fathers of the child.
Miss Dati’s lawyer Olivier Metzner said she brought the prosecution as a ‘matter of principle’. ‘Imagine if her daughter finds out about this later,’ he said. ‘We can’ t allow that to happen.’
Mr Metzner added: ‘My client won’t be there. She doesn’t want to confront these people.’
Both Stranieri and Gaiffe are receiving legal aid, and have made a formal application for access to Zohra. At the end of yesterday’s hearing, Gaiffe ripped open his prison shirt to reveal the inscription ‘Zohra’s Father’ written across his chest.
He claimed that a tracksuit marked with the same legend in gold letters had been confiscated by a ‘Nazi’ lawyer. This led to Gaiffe being expelled from court following a complaint by Mr Metzner.
Julien Bouzerand, counsel for Gaiffe, said his client stuck with his claim and would continue to fight for access. Miss Dati became a celebrity in France after President Sarkozy made her the country’s first senior woman minister to come from a Muslim background.
Both of her parents were illiterate immigrants from North Africa. Despite becoming a household name after appearing on TV and in glossy magazines, she struggled with the job and was soon sacked.
Miss Dati is now the mayor of Paris’s 7th arrondissement and a member of the European Parliament. The court adjourned the hearing until June 20.
