WHY A LOT OF HS STUDENTS SHOULD NOT GO TO COLLEGE

President Obama and the politically correct crowd want all high school students to get a college education. But, like this fool, many teenage educated idiots are too stupid to benefit from a college education.

A teenager has survived a 220ft jump from the Golden Gate Bridge with nothing more than a few bruises.

The 17-year-old is thought to have been trying to impress classmates on a school trip when he climbed over the railings on the eastern pedestrian walkway and plunged into the icy San Francisco Bay.

But miraculously, the boy survived the jump at the world’s most popular suicide spot.

Around 1,400 people have leapt from the bridge since it opened in 1937, and 98 per cent of them have died. Only a handful have ever walked again.

If the bone-crushing force of the impact does not kill them, they usually drown in the strong currents and freezing temperatures.

But the unnamed teenager suffered only ‘bruising and tenderness’, according to representatives of Windsor High School in California’s Sonoma County.

He was helped to shore by a surfer who was already in the water.

Frederic Lecouturier, 55, said he was surfing under the bridge when he saw the boy jump.

‘I thought, “Well, he’s going to die” and then it was a miracle when he popped up alive,’ Mr Lecouturier added.

‘I padded out there and he told me he jumped “for kicks”
.
'That’s when I lost it and told him what he did was wrong, that life is precious and he should not take risks like that.’

A classmate at Windsor High said the teenager ‘did it to try to look cool’, adding: ‘He said he’d jumped off bridges before.’

Students in the 45-strong field trip said they tried to stop the boy, but police said some had been daring him to jump.

Jumpers generally hit the water at speeds of 70 to 80mph.

At this velocity, water can take on the properties of concrete.

California Highway Patrol Officer Chris Rardin said: ‘It’s a miracle in itself.

‘The majority of folks do not survive this type of fall.’
