Fourth of July bloodshed across the US sees a seven-year-old girl and 14-year-old boy shot dead in Chicago while in NYC two are killed and 10 injured by gunfire as violent summer continues

Gunfire broke out in cities across the US during Independence Day celebrations, leaving dozens of people injured and at least 14 dead. 

 

Chicago appeared to experience the worst of the violence on Saturday as 30 people were shot and eight were killed, including two children. 

 

New York City, Memphis, Omaha, Cleveland and several other cities were also rocked by a spate of shootings amid the holiday revelry. 

 

One of the children killed in Chicago was identified by her family as seven-year-old Natalie Wallace.  The girl was playing outside her grandmother's house in the city's Austin neighborhood during a Fourth of July party when a vehicle pulled up and three men emerged and began shooting indiscriminately at about 7pm.

SAME SHIT, DIFFERENT DAY IN CHICAGO

It is Sunday morning in Chicago as I type this out.  So far this weekend there have been 67 people shot in Chicago, including 13 deaths.  Several children are among the dead.

The sad thing is that, except for the immediately families of those involved, NOBODY GIVES A SHIT.  IF THEY DID, IT WOULD STOP.  Trouble is, nobody gets any money or political power when Black people shoot other Black people so there is no "percentage" in making a fuss about it.

UPDATE:  We are now up to just after 10 p.m. Sunday.  A total of 77 shot including 14 dead.
