When Illinois Sen. Tammy Duckworth sidestepped a
question on CNN about whether the country should rethink the monuments erected
in honor of
leaders who were slave owners, Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson called the wounded Iraq War veteran a coward and questioned her patriotism

Tucker Carlson, a popular TV anchor on Fox News, never served in the Military. U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth served with distinction as a helicopter pilot during the Iraq War.
On November 12, 2004, Captain Duckworth was piloting a Black Hawk to
her base in Iraq when a
rocket-propelled grenade hit the helicopter, downing the aircraft with its four crew members. All survived, but the fiery crash cost Duckworth both of her legs.
In 2016, Duckwotyh was elected to fill the U.S. Senate seat vacated by Barack Obama. She was born in Thailand to an American father and a Thai mother of Chinese descent. The Illinois Democrat is on the short list of Joe Biden's picks for vice president.
When Duckworth was asked on a CNN Sunday morning news show whether the country should rethink the monuments erected in honor of leaders who were slave owners, she sidestepped the question by saying there should be a “national dialogue” on the legacy of our founding fathers.
Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson then attacked Duckworth in a rant: “You’re not supposed to criticize Tammy Duckworth in any way because
she once served in the military. Most people just ignore her. But when Duckworth does speak
in public, you’re reminded what a deeply silly and unimpressive person
she is. It’s long been considered out of bounds to
question a person’s patriotism. It’s a very strong charge, and we try
not ever to make it. But in the face of all of this, the conclusion
can’t be avoided. These people actually hate America. There’s no longer a
question about that.”
Duckwoth responded by tweeting: “Does @TuckerCarlson want to walk a mile in my legs and then tell me whether or not I love America?”
That caused Carlson to erupt in another rant in which he said, “That’s what passes for an argument in modern identity politics.” He
also called her a “coward” for not appearing on his show and then went
on to question her knowledge of American history. “George Washington was
a genuinely great man. But to morons like Tammy
Duckworth, Washington is just some old white guy who needs to be erased.
Let’s tear down his statues and rename our capital city Sharpton or
Mandela and let the revolution continue.”
I strongly disagree with Tammy Duckworth's left-wing agenda. While I agree with Carlson's view on the statues, that's the only thing I agree on in his disgraceful rants. Since he never served a single day in the military, Carlson has some nerve calling the double amputee war veteran a coward and questioning her patriotism.
Tucker Carlson makes me want to puke on his sorry ass face!

I do not agree with you on this Howie. I watched the piece. It appeared to me he was castigating her for refusing to answer a simple question (Do you support removing George Washington from the historical record?). She refused to answer. She danced around the question. That, IMHO, is cowardice from a professional politician. (It is, I grant you, open to interpretation.)
Bob,wake up! You've had too much Green Death. Carlson went far beyond castigating Duckworth for sidestepping a question. To you and Carlson she is a coward, to me she is a genuine hero and a true American patriot.
I respect all veterans, especially those who have been disabled due to their service. That being said, It does not make them immune from foot in mouth disease or just being plain wrong.
@ Howie. You could say that about John McCain as well. Doesn't change the fact that, afterwords, he morphed into a petty, small minded, arrogant, vindictive piece of shit.
