YOUNG PEOPLE ARE SPREDING CORONAVIRUS TO PEOPLE WHO MAY DIE FROM THE INFECTION

Lockdown has been eased too soon - and was never strict enough - warns Dr Fauci as he slams young people hitting beaches, bars and protests who risk infecting more vulnerable people amid 'disturbing' spike in cases

Dr Fauci has issued a dire warning over America's coronavirus response, saying lockdowns were not strict enough, were lifted too soon, and that young people are driving a second wave of cases. 

 

The White House's top virus adviser said predominantly younger people gathering at beaches, in bars, and at protests in large crowds with little social distancing and often without masks is helping to drive a fresh crisis that has seen new cases top 50,000 per day and has prompted states such as California and Florida to roll back their reopening plans. 

 

While young people may not be badly affected by the virus, he said, they need to accept that they form part of a chain of infection that will eventually reach a vulnerable person who may die as a result. 

 

'We need to engender some societal responsibility in people, particularly the younger people,' he said.  

EDITOR'S NOTE: And that should also apply to all the jerks that are defying recommendations or orders to wear face masks because they are spraeding the infection to those most at risk for dying from COVID-19.
