On Friday, by a 7-2 vote, the US Supreme Court threw out the Texas AG's lawsuit that was joined by 17 state AGs and 126 Republican House members. Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett, the three justices appointed by Trump, voted against him.
Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito wanted to hear the case but said they would have refused to overturn the election outcome. That in effect made it a 9-0 vote..
The seven justices ruled that "Texas has not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another State conducts its elections."
Texas Senator Ted Cruz never got the chance to argue this case before the court as Trump had called on him to do.
With this ruling it's time for the White House Trump family to decide where they will reside in 2021.
All that remains is for the Electoral College on Monday to select Joe Biden as the winner. Then on January 20, it's adios Trump.
Since presidential pardons only apply to federal crimes, Trump would be wise to move to a country that does not have an extradition treaty with the US. Then Manhattan DA Cyrus Vance would be unable toss the ex-president's unhappy ass in jail.
