I have to admit this is a new one on me.  Two Illinois EMS workers are being charged with murdering a patient based in large part on police bodycam footage.

Earl Moore Jr. died in the wee hours of December 18 following an ambulance trip from his home to St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Sangamon County, Illinois.  The coroner ruled that the "medical treatment" he received was the proximate cause of his death.  Specifically compression and positional asphyxia from being strapped down to a gurney face down.  The death was classified as a homicide and Peggy Finley, 44, and Peter Cadigan, 50, both employees of Lifestar Ambulance Service, have been charged with Moore's death.  Lifestar has refused to comment.

The basic cause of his transport was "hallucinations."  The ambulance was summoned by responding cops.  Each of the EMS workers is still being held pending $1 million bail.
