"THEY" SAID THIS COULD NEVER HAPPEN. THEY WERE WRONG, OR DID THEY LIE? ..... DOMINION COMPUTER IN ALAMEDA COUNTY THROWS ELECTION TO WRONG CANDIDATE

By Bob Walsh

Election Security California Recall dominion voting machines vote elections ballot

On December 28 Alameda County (CA) election officials announced that a "computer error" across the board had led to miscounts in all of the ranked choice elections.  A recount resulted in one race being changed.  Mike Hutchinson, a current member of the Oakland Unified School District was the ACTUAL winner of a highly contested race with Nick Resnick, the CEO of an education company (whatever the hell that is).

Hutchinson and his attorney met with election officials Tuesday, but the election officials declined to say how they intended to rectify the situation.

Neither county registrar of voters, Tim Dupuis, or the Calif. secretary of state have condescended to comment on the record.

The problem is that the erroneous result has already been certified.  There is no clear mechanism for "correcting" a vote tally that has in fact been certified.  The beneficiary of the error, Nick Resnick, has acknowledged a potential problem.  The guy that got screwed is threatening legal action, which he can not really afford to undertake.

Various public officials have been in contact with Dominion, the only voting machine company certified in CA to run ranked choice voting, which is now common in the formerly great state of California.
