House Republicans on Thursday voted to kick Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar from the Foreign Affairs Committee over her anti-Semitic comments in chaotic scenes.
There was havoc on the floor of the House with Democrats screaming 'no' as Republicans completed Speaker Kevin McCarthy's bid to get the Squad member removed over past comments comparing Israel to Hamas and the Taliban and saying the relationship between the Jewish state and the U.S. is 'all about the Benjamins'.
218 members of the GOP voted to stip Omar of her assignment - with Rep. David Joyce of Ohio voting present - while 211 Democrats backed their colleague.
Democrats have called Omar's ejection from the panel 'revenge' after they removed Marjorie Taylor Greene and Paul Gosar from their assignments.

down, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez condemned the GOP for the move saying it
is a 'racism and incitement of violence against women of color.'

Before the vote count was handed down, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez condemned the GOP for the move saying it is a 'racism and incitement of violence against women of color.'
'Don't tell me this is about consistency. Don't tell me that this is about a condemnation of anti-Semitic remarks...This is about targeting women of color in the United States of America,' the fellow Squad member said.
Omar told Republicans 'I am an
American', and said losing her seat on the committee for a term would
not make her go away.
