Three state office buildings, two of which are on Capitol Mall, are maybe-probably going to be converted to "affordable housing."

The buildings are the old EDD building at 800 Capitol Mall, the EDD Solar Building (whatever the hell that is) at 751 N. St, and the SPB building at 801 Capitol Mall.

The current tenants will be moving in 2025.  The state has issued a RFQ (request for qualifications) to developers for these projects.  These projects will focus on transit friendly development (meaning no parking available) and will, if successful, result in several hundred low income housing units being built.
