Johnson County Sheriff' Adam King called Bill Hardin a 'living legend' for his career in law enforcement
Johnson County Sherriff's deputy Bill Hardin died about
two weeks ago at the age of 99. He is believed to be both the oldest
and most senior actively serving peace officer in the world. He started
with the Fort Worth P.D. in 1947. He then moved to the Tarrant County
S.O. and then for the last 28 years the Johnson County S.O.
R I P brother.
EDITOR'S NOTE; Bill participated in the organizing meeting of the Texas Narcotic Officers Association at Sam Houston State University in 1969. Founding TNOA was one of my proudest achievements.
