Leonard Mathias de Novaes, 40, was a lawyer in Brazil.
He brought his mother into the Laboratorio Cura in Sao Paulo for some
test procedures. He was carrying a gun and ignored the warning signs
about metal objects not doing well around MRI machines.
The
exact details are a little fuzzy but it seems that the MRI pulled the
gun from his waistband (can't a lawyer afford a holster) and fired it,
or maybe fired it and it then came loose, or maybe pulled the gun out
and it fell and fired.
Whichever happened the lawyer is really and completely dead.
