My
local fish wrapper here in Stockton is THE RECORD, formerly the
STOCKTON RECORD. (As an interesting aside, the paper reported one of
the first documented human-extraterrestrial encounters back in the 19th
century, for what that may be worth to you.)
Yesterday
the editorial page had not one but two editorials that were not
hard-core liberal. One, by Marc A Tiessen who writes for the Washington
Post, pointed out that the anarchy in democrat led cities is not
Trump's fault. He further pointed out that it is hard to justify
blaming Trump for violence in the cities and to simultaneously blame
Trump for trying to put more law enforcement resources in those cities.
The
second was by Jon Coupal, president of the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers
Association. He pointed out that one party rule has NOT been good for
California and has led, among other things, to flight from California by
the productive class. California will lose at least one representative
seat and maybe more than one after the 2020 census is completed. Texas
will probably gain at least three.
The
third editorial was a warm-and-fuzzy about the health of the river
ecosystems in California. It pointed out that, all things considered,
health river ecosystems are a good thing.
