I
went to my favorite Local Gun Store / Range today (Saturday) to
function test fire one of my carry weapons that I had previously detail
stripped and cleaned. I noticed while waiting for the doors to open
that there were eight vehicles parked in the customer parking. Seven
were pick-up trucks and one was a mid-size SUV. No Prius. No Leaf. I
am sure that says something about gun people, though I am not completely
sure what that may be..

I bought a 4WD SUV that will barely fit in my garage. The manual says to only burn gasoline not Flex-fuel. I installed a console gun safe made by GM but had to remove it because it wasn't snug and made a noise while driving. Waiting on my refund. I put on a rear window sticker that reads, "If you're not outraged, you're not paying attention." I guess I qualify for the gun toting truck driving group.
I'm traveling to Freeport tomorrow to see the local museum's tribute to Lonesome Dove and the history of the trail drive that the book was based on.
