RECALL GROUP SAYS THEY HAVE THE NUMBERS

But They Want Some Extra Signatures For Insurance

The group of people who want to throw Gavin Newsom, the God-Emperor of the formerly great state of California out on his ass, say they now have enough signatures to do the job of getting it on the ballot.  The counties that have been verifying signatures as they go state that this group has an exceptionally high ratio of valid signatures to total signatures, about 85%.  The recall group wants to get another 500,00 on top of the needed 1.5 million, just for insurance.  They have got enough money they are putting bucks into TV advertising and they have another month to go so it seems likely they will get the job done.  

It is still questionable whether or not the voters will actually vote to throw the bastard out and at this stage there is no way of telling who we would get to replace the arrogant putz.  One thing for sure, if the effort is successful maybe the replacement will think that he should pay just a teeny bit of attention to what the voters actually want.

If the vote against him is successful he will still have ten days in office.  He will be able to do a LOT of damage on his way out the door.  Personally I am guessing he will commute ever death sentence pending in California, all 700 + of them.  Just a last big "fuck you" to the majority of the voters who actually support capital punishment despite what the God-Emperor personally believes.
