The
Texas Supreme Court just ruled AGAINST a lawsuit stemming from the 2017
church shooting. Some of the survivors / families sued the retailer
who sold the gun. The man who bought and used the gun had a
dishonorable discharge from the military and should not have been
allowed to purchase a firearm. However, when the retailer ran the
legally required background check that background check cleared. The
Texas court ruled that the retailer had done his due diligence and it
was not his fault, nor his responsibility, that the government screwed
up.
