WARNING: DO NOT FLIP OFF THE DRIVER WHO CUT YOU OFF!

Suspects arrested in fatal road-rage shooting of 6-year-old boy

Aiden Leos (pictured), from Southern California, was fatally shot on the 55 Freeway in Orange, California, by a driver reportedly driving a white Volkswagen station wagon last month

Two suspects were arrested Sunday in connection to the road-rage shooting that killed a 6-year-old boy on a California highway, a report said.

The pair, Marcus Anthony Eriz, 24, and Wynne Lee, 23, were busted at their Costa Mesa home one day after little Aiden Leos was buried by his family, CBS LA reported. They are expected to be charged with his May 21 murder, according to the report, which cited the California Highway Patrol.

Eriz is an auto shop worker whose social media is filled with photos of him showing off his guns and firing them at shooting ranges

Aiden, a kindergartner, was being driven to school by his mother, Joanna Cloonan, on 55 Freeway when they were cut off by a white sedan.

Cloonan — who was not injured — reportedly flipped off the driver of the sedan who had cut her off in the highway’s carpool lane. A passenger in the white car fired an unknown number of shots, hitting Aiden, reports said.

“I pulled over and I took him out of the car and I tried to put my hand on his wounds while calling 911. Because he was losing a lot of blood,” the mother told “Good Morning America.”

The boy was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

“I want nothing more than to find justice, though it won’t bring you back into my arms,” Cloonan told mourners at Calvary Chapel in Yorba Linda during her son’s open-casket memorial service Saturday. “My precious son had his life ripped away for absolutely no reason.”

Aiden wanted to be an entomologist even though he could barely pronounce the word, his mother said.

Every night before he went to bed, he would tell his mom, “Good night and sweet dreams,” according to USA Today

Then he would turn to his older sister, Alexis, and say the same.

“You wanted to make sure everyone was OK before you close your eyes and ended your day,” Cloonan recalled at the memorial, according to the report.

Aiden’s brokenhearted sister said her brother enjoyed spending time with her even if she was just doing homework or playing video games.

“I don’t get to play ‘Mario Kart’ with my little brother or take him to the park ever again, and that breaks my heart,” she said. “Because of the monsters that took Aiden’s life, I will never get to hug my brother again.

“We were supposed to grow up together and help each other through life,” she added, according to USA Today.

Both suspects were being held on $1 million bail and set for a Tuesday court appearance, according to Orange County jail records cited by KNBC.

“On behalf of Border Division Chief Omar Watson, and the Santa Ana Area, we are deeply grateful for the professionalism and tireless commitment of our investigators who have worked on this case from day one to find those responsible for Aiden’s death,” California Highway Patrol Commissioner Amanda Rey said, according to the report.

“While these arrests will not ease the pain of a mother’s loss, my hope is for the Leos family to have some peace of mind and to rest assured the CHP will work with the Orange County District Attorney to bring justice for Aiden.”
