A lucky Las Vegas man had his life spared when an armed burglar’s gun jammed during a botched robbery, intense video shows.

The 68-second clip from a Ring doorbell cam shows the victim returning to his home Sunday afternoon near the 2800 block of Faiss Drive, where he parked his car in a garage.

The unidentified gunman approaches the man and demands his belongings, prompting the victim to run across the street.

The young suspect chases his target and attempts to shoot the man as he is unlocking a gate, the pulse-pounding footage shows.

But the suspect — a black male between the ages of 18 and 25 — fumbles with the gun and is unable to fire it, allowing the man to bolt to safety.

The gunman then flees in a black sedan with tinted windows, Las Vegas police said.

Anyone with information about the attempted murder should contact Las Vegas police at (702) 828-9455. A message seeking comment from Las Vegas police was not immediately returned early Tuesday.

Some amateur sleuths online surmised that the gunman, who appeared to have something wrapped around his right arm, got the piece of clothing or plastic caught in the slide of the gun.

“Looks like a plastic bag wrapped around his hand,” another tweet read. “Trying to prevent gun [powder] residue on his firing hand. Victim is beyond lucky that it appears the slide on the pistol got caught on the plastic bag and caused a jam.”

Steal a revolver and wear gloves. The gun was probably a cheap POS with shitty ammo. Lucky guy.
