1950's TV sitcom star Tony Dow, aka Wally Cleaver,
Beaver's big brother, just passed on to whatever comes next at the age
of 77. He was recently diagnosed with cancer.
His
career did not end with LEAVE IT TO BEAVER. He also appeared in
various other TV shows thru the 60s and 70s, and did a little TV
writing.

I think this may have been called prematurely. However, he is in hospice.

Tony Dow, the actor and director best known for playing the stalwart older brother Wally Cleaver to Jerry Mathers’ Beaver in the iconic series “Leave It to Beaver,” died Wednesday after it was incorrectly announced Tuesday that he had died. He was 77.
