NOT THE USUAL PROTECTION ORDER FAILURE ..... BUT A FAILURE NEVERTHELESS

By Bob Walsh

Victims of domestic abuse have legal recourse in Texas to pursue a civil protection order

This one is unusual in that the protection order was denied.  Tirany Savage, 35, of Roscommon Township, MI, applied to Judge Troy Daniel for an order of protection against her husband, Bo Eugene Savage.  She stated that he had recently bought a gun, threatened her and her family and refused to leave the house when asked.  The judge said she could pursue the matter with the divorce court, but that there was insufficient reason to believe he was a threat.

Two weeks later Mrs. Savage, her son Dayton Cowdry, 13, her mother Kim L. Ebright, 38, and her husband were all dead, two days after she filed for divorce.  It appears to the cops that Bo Savage forced his way into the home and murdered everybody, then killed himself.

The judge has thus far declined comment.  He is up for reelection this coming November.  His campaign people have also declined comment.
