A former FedEx driver is believed to have stolen a French Bulldog while he was out and about doing his delivery thing.  The dog croaked in the delivery truck.  The driver is now in a heap of trouble.

Kimani Joehon Marshall, 44, of Fayetteville, N.C. was the driver.  He lifted the dog on July 3.  The dog, Tori, died in the truck due to the heat.  The dead dog was found a week later in Lillington, N.C.

FedEx had no comment other than to state that Marshall no longer worked for them.

Marshall is charged with the theft of the dog, valued at more than $5,000, possession of stolen property and animal cruelty.  A warrant was issued for him on July 11 and he turned himself in.  He is referring all questions to his lawyer, who isn't answering questions.
