Matthew Brenneman and Danicka Marie Bergeson
Matthew Brenneman, 40, is, by any reasonable definition a
vicious asshole. If you don't believe me you could ask his former
girlfriend, Danicka Bergeson, 33, of Hennepin County, MN, but you can't
because he murdered her.
On
July 8 of last year the cops responded to Ms. Bergeson's apartment in
response to a call from neighbors. They found Ms. Bergeson beaten to
death. They found Brenneman in the bathroom, possibly attempting to
drink bleach. Ms. Bergeson had been dead about a day at this time.
Just 11 days before the murder he had gotten out of jail after copping a plea to domestic assault of Ms. Bergeson.
This
time around he plead to second-degree murder with some enhancements.
That will get him 24 years as a guest of the people.
I
hate to seem like I am capping on the victim here, but if your domestic
partner is enough of a shithead you need a protection order against
them, you should probably have a gun, or a BIG dog, or move back to your
parent's house where they hopefully have a gun and a big dog. Orders
don't mean shit to people that you need an order against.

I've never understood why anyone would believe a "legal" order would protect them. Even cops don't believe it, or they wouldn't carry weapons to insure their orders are obeyed.
