Police arrested Carson Peters-Berger, 14, in connection with the murder of Lily Peters, 10
Lily Peters, 10, (pictured) was allegedly strangled to death and sexually assaulted by her 14-year-old cousin Carson Peters-Berger
Back in April of 2022 Lily Peters, then 10-years old,
disappeared. Her bicycle was discovered in the woods near Chippewa
Falls, WI. where she lived. She had been on her way to visit her aunt a
few blocks from her own home. Her body, badly beaten and naked from
the waist down, was found shortly after. The cops focused on a 14-year
old male suspect, referred to as C.T.P.-B in court documents. He
allegedly admitted that he intended to rape and kill the girl. The cops
assert that he did in fact lure her into the woods, beat her with a
stick, strangle her and then rape her corpse. His lawyer is asserting
that the suspect has "issues" including autism, anxiety and depression,
and various compulsive behaviors related to violent porn.
The
trial court initially decided that, due to the vicious nature of the
crime, juvenile court referral was inappropriate. That ruling has just
been upheld by the appeals court.
The
vicious little bastard is being charged with first-degree intentional
homicide and first-degree sexual assault of a child under 13. Both of
these are Class-A felonies and carry a sentence of up to life in
prison. Under the law a person convicted of these crimes might be
considered for parole after 20 years.
