The
Caldor Fire has covered over 60,000 acres and has zero containment.
The CHP has closed Hwy 50 because of it. It has burned about 140
structures, mostly rural homes. It hasn't jumped 50 yet and probably
won't with the wind blowing towards the East. That, however, is
supposed to change in a couple of days.
The
Dixie Fire has burned over 700,000 acres and is only about 1/3
contained. The wind is blowing East now so it is headed for Tahoe
rather than towards me. Good for me. Bad for them.
