PARENTS WELL INTENTIONED, BUT PROBABLY NOT REAL SMART

Police tased and arrested parents trying to enter the lockdowned Thompson Ranch Elementary School in El Mirage, Arizona
This
mess played out at the Thompson Ranch Elementary School in El Mirage,
Arizona on Friday morning. The campus had been locked down due to a
possibly armed man attempting to get onto a building on the campus. The
cops responded. In addition parents responded, possibly / probably in
an attempt to "rescue" or "protect" their children. At least one of these parents was armed.
The
cops stopped them from entering the campus. They didn't want to be
stopped. Three were arrested. Two did the funky chicken after being
lit up with a Taser. At least one of them was armed with a handgun.
After
the goat-rope in Uvalde, Texas I can understand the parent's feelings, but it
is also obvious the cops didn't want a bunch of armed amateurs running
around trying to locate their crumbsnatchers while the cops were trying to locate a potential bad guy.
The
bad guy was chased off by staff before the cops arrived. A suspicious
package was found. The bomb squad was called and students were removed
from that area of the campus.
The bad guy was located, detained and turned over for a psych evaluation.
The
three parents are facing assorted charges. The one with the gun is
facing charges for possession of a gun on school grounds.

Guess since the cops can't protect the kids they may as well arrest those who try.
