I admit I didn't hear about this
until today. California just passed AB2571 with an urgency clause,
which means it took effect immediately upon passing (about one month
ago).
It makes it illegal
for firearms manufacturers to market ANYTHING branded for firearms to
"children." This would include clothing, magazines, whatever. It
creates a $25,000 civil penalty for EACH violation. This would include
every single copy of every single advertising that was deemed by whoever
will do the deciding as being marketed to "children."
This
would pretty much kill off youth shooting sports in CA among other
things. Several lawsuits have been filed against implementation of the
law.
Anybody who thought Commiefornia was going to roll over on the 2A decision out of SCOTUS was dead-ass wrong.
