The four Broward County School Board members suspended by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has acted and kicked out
the four members of the Broward County School Board who slow-dragged the
security reviews for the district.
The
Grand Jury Report nailed five Broward County School Board members
heavily for nonfeasance, malfeasance, neglect of duty and stupidity.
One of the five is now serving as a state senator. The others just lost
their gig.
The governor
has appointed Torey Alston, Manual A. Serrano, Ryan Reiter and Kevin
Tynan to fill the now vacant spots. Alston has previously been at the
upper levels of the Florida D.O.T. and has been a Broward County
Commissioner (by appointment). Serrano is a member of the Florida
Sports Foundation Board of Directors. Reiter is a former jarhead and
director of government relations for a large construction firm. Tynan
is a lawyer and has previously been on the school board.
