A mountain lion broke into a home in Sonoma County CA and grabbed a border collie by it's neck, then exited the house with the dog still in it's mouth. A neighbor showed up with a gun and took a shot at the big cat, which then beat feet. The dog, Sherman, survived. The female resident was in the home at the time the cat was there.
The cat
came back the next day to go after some of the resident's goats. The
resident then called state wildlife, which hunted the animal down and
killed it.

Sad. The Mountain Lion was there first.
True, but we can't have them going into people's houses after meals.
