Beyonce will perform at the five-star resort Atlantis The Palm in Dubai
DUBAI, UAE: Beyonce is set to play her first full-length gig in four
years at Dubai where she will reportedly perform an hour-long event on
January 21. On Friday, December 23, it was revealed that the venue will
be a private event at the five-star resort Atlantis The Palm. What is more, the 41-year-old music icon is reportedly earning a sturdy paycheck from her stage comeback, according to the Sun.
"This will be Beyonce's first proper live event since she appeared at
the Global Citizen Festival in Johannesburg in December 2018," a source
revealed. "Tickets are like gold dust, and the night will be a who's who
of the entertainment industry," as reported by Aceshowbiz. According to the source, Queen Bey was hired for the staggering amount of more than $24 million.
"Beyonce is being lined up to sing at Atlantis as part of a huge, luxury
event in January. The hotel brand has recently put on a range of
massive performances, with Kylie Minogue booked in to perform on New
Year's Eve," the source told The Sun, adding that the concerts were part
of a star-studded line-up of celebrations the hotel is putting on
during the holiday season. Needless to say, invites to Beyonce's
hour-long performance is the hottest (and hardest) ticket to get in
town. "Afterwards, there is a party with Swedish House Mafia booked to
do a DJ set."
The source also mentioned that the gig will be Beyonce's first proper live show since she performed at the Global Citizen Festival
in Johannesburg in December 2018. Beyonce also raked in the cash at her
'Club Renaissance' event last week, a two-night extravaganza that
invited followers to "experience Renaissance in spatial audio." Tickets
for the 21+ event reportedly sold out "seemingly in minutes," according
to Variety.
The event, which Amazon Music presented, was open to fans over the age
of 21 and took place on December 17-18. Beyonce had released
'Renaissance,' her eighth studio album, which included the lead hit
'Break, My Soul.' The album has earned nine Grammy nominations for the
forthcoming awards show.
